Planalytics turns 3 🥳
Today marks Planalytics’ third birthday, time has flown! We started out in 2018 as a small group of ladies with a bunch of ideas. Fast forward 36-months and we are a slightly bigger group of ladies with even more ideas, connections, and motivation to achieve better community outcomes within our towns, sub-region, and across New Zealand.
So how exactly do we achieve this lofty goal of better community outcomes? Quite simply, by focusing on our four core areas of housing, planning, building and community; and the services we deploy within those. For example, over the last year we have:
Been accepted onto the New Zealand All of Government Supply Panel for policy, research, and development services; allowing us to work freely across central and local government.
Worked with the Ministry for the Environment on reform of the Resource Management Act.
Assisted Victim Support with internal strategic documentation and visualisation.
Developed a Housing Action Plan for Carterton District Council.
Delivered a transformative structure plan for Ōpōtiki District Council.
Helped the Carterton Swimming Club, free of charge, to progress its indoor pool upgrade project.
Delivered multiple workshops and presentations, most recently at the Vision for Ageing in Aotearoa Conference.
Written articles for BUILD magazine.
Gained recognition at the Remarkable Women in Business Awards 2021.
And those are just the highlights! However our biggest achievement this year has been the consolidation and growth of our team. We have been joined by local lass Becca Adams who has brought a fresh perspective and energy to the office. In addition, the fabulous work and commitment of both Lucy Cooper and Tiff North has been recognised through their promotions earlier in the year and their achievements outside of work (tap dancing, award winning photography, and Board appointments to name but a few).
On a personal note, I feel blessed to work with such a great bunch of ladies, clients, community groups, and stakeholders. The past 12-months have not been without their challenges but we have stood strong while retaining our professionalism, sense of humour, and passion for cheese.
Thank you to everyone we have worked with, we look forward to another year of learning ahead!
