Planalytics turns 6 ๐ŸŽŠ

On 1 October 2024, Planalytics marked its sixth year in business - a milestone that prompts both reflection and celebration. From our base in Wairarapa, weโ€™ve continued to engage in meaningful work across Aotearoa and beyond, striving to inform action through insight.

Global engagement

This past winter, Director Toni Kennerley ventured to the Middle East, contributing her planning expertise to projects in Abu Dhabi and Riyadh. Her work involved advising on regional spatial planning updates and analysing sentiment studies to inform urban development strategies. These international experiences enrich our perspective and enhance the value brought to clients at home.

Local impact

Closer to home, Planalytics continues to support resilient, well-governed communities through a range of collaborative initiatives.

  • An ongoing partnership with Hughes & Baker Surveyors in Palmerston North brings together planning and surveying expertise to tackle complex development and resource management issues.

  • Contributions to Local Government New Zealandโ€™s CouncilMARK/Te Korowai programme are helping to identify opportunities for continuous improvement across councils, ensuring stronger performance and greater accountability in local government.

  • Active participation in resource management reform discussions reflects a long-standing commitment to shaping a more responsive and integrated planning system for Aotearoa.

These efforts reflect the value of strong partnerships, sound evidence, and a shared commitment to better outcomes for communities.

Looking ahead

As Planalytics embarks on its seventh year, the focus remains on delivering high-quality, evidence-based solutions in housing, planning, and community development. The work continues to evolve, and so too does the passion for engaging with people, policy, and place.

A heartfelt thank you to all clients, collaborators, and community partners for the ongoing support. Hereโ€™s to another year of meaningful mahi!

Ngฤ mihi nui,
The Planalytics team.
