Planalytics turns 4!
Just like that another year has flown by and on Planalytics 4th birthday, we have much to celebrate!
From our new base at the Featherston Community Centre, the Planalytics team has been busy continuing our work with a variety of incredible clients across the country, all while immersing ourselves in regular shared morning teas and meeting local community development heroes.
Earlier this year, we farewelled the magnificent Lucy Cooper, and with new opportunities knocking at the door we saw a natural consolidation of our core workstreams - housing, planning, and community development. Our projects within these areas have been varied, massively fun, and have taught us plenty. Check out our refreshed website for more details.
To give you a taster, some highlights from the last year include:
Assisting Carterton District Council with community outreach and focus group meetings around the Eastern Growth Area Structure Plan.
Working with the Ministry for the Environment on reform of the resource management (planning) system.
Facilitating workshops to develop the Masterton District Council Climate Change Action Plan.
Delivering a site location options analysis for a new Ōpōtiki Coastguard building.
Supporting new Manawatū based surveying firm, Hughes & Baker Surveyors, with planning advice and preparation of resource consent applications.
Continuing to assist the Carterton Swimming Club, free of charge, to progress their indoor pool upgrade project.
It may have been Planalytics fourth year of operation, but for me, it was my first. Whilst I have this opportunity, I must express my gratitude for the support, learnings, and opportunities that Planalytics and the wonderful women behind it have graciously extended to me. They answer my inexperienced ponderings with alacrity and I repay them with my knowledge of pop-culture and ‘how to speak millennial’ – seems like a fair trade.
Big thanks to all those we have worked with, here is to another year ahead!
